Let’s start off with how it’s pronounced: Ren – Yell -May.  It’s a combo of my mom, REmy and dad daNIEL, and the month I was born- May.  But! You can call me Ren.  That’s what I tell everyone to call me if they still feel weird saying my name.  But, I do prefer Reniel, drop the May.  RENIELMAY is my business name.  So that’s, that story.

Let me continue by letting you get to know a bit more about me.

I am supported by an amazing man who I am totally in love with, loved and adore by 2 amazing boys that we get to watch grow up.  I am a stay-at-home mom by day and makeup artist by weekend–sometimes weekday!  I do makeup and hair styling part time when my schedule allows or when my time opens up.  It’s a wonderful thing! Getting to be involved with my family and be able to do something that makes me happy as an individual person.

As I was growing up, I used to watch my mom do her morning and night routines. Every morning when I turned over, my mom would be either getting ready for work or just getting ready for the day.  She would do her Mary Kay routine which consisted of numerous skin care products that had a step-by-step system to cleans and prep the skin.  Now- this process took about 5 minutes, but as a little girl, it was such a mesmerizing thing to watch.  Well then after that, she would put her makeup on.  That part was magical. But I never did think it would be something I’d do on myself.  By the end of the day, she would take it all off and do everything she did in the morning, but in reverse.  I thought, “Wow! All that work just to take it off! – No thanks.”  But here I am, doing what my mom did and I get to share that with others.

Makeup is so fun! You get to show off a more polished version of yourself and feel confident.  Although makeup shouldn’t give you a false impression of beauty and happiness.  Makeup is superficial and temporary.  Life goes on and makeup comes off.  But it still doesn’t mean it’s not fun to express yourself and Cake It On!!!

My job and my life are one in the same.  I enjoy what I do and I invest into my work and the people I meet along the way.  I love to encourage others and learn from them.  My ultimate goal is to continue to enjoy what I love and share it with all my friends and family.
